ABOUT ME

I started quilting during COVID in 2019.  My older sister had been quilting and making handbags for years and told me that I need to try quilting because it was like putting a puzzle together.  I LOVE PUZZLES!!  She knew exactly which button to push to get me started on the road to quilting.  I made my first quilt (a kitty quilt - because I have 3 and they are the heart of our home) and was hooked!!  Being me - I then did a deep dive into the quilting world and discovered free-motion quilting.  At first I didn't know if this was my calling, but I watched some videos and tried a few samples and realized that this amazing artistic form of expression was completely within my skill set.  "Yaddah Yaddah Yaddah" (See Seinfeld for you younger quilters) and I now own an AMAZING long arm machine (A Millie 30" for those of you who may know) and have not looked back since.  I am fortunate to have a husband who saw that this was something that energized and excited me and realized that the investment was worth it.  I can honestly say that every single  moment I am not working in my "real job" - I am quilting.  Whether it be sewing quilt tops for those I love, or quilting pieced tops for friends and family and charity endeavors.    My plan is to retire from a very stressful job within the next couple of years and do what brings me joy - long-arm quilting!!!   That is where this website was born!  I realize that to convince my hubby that it is time for me to retire - I need to have a "plan".  I cannot think of any other way I would LOVE to spend my retirement than helping others achieve their quilting dreams and bringing their visions to fruition!!  Thanks for sticking around for this very long narrative - I just wanted you to know that my heart is in this and I will listen, collaborate and honor your vision (sorry to keep repeating myself - the thesaurus couldn't find another word for the depth that vision entails)!!!  OMG!!!!!  Are you ready???  I sure am.  Find further information in the pull-down menu above to get us connected and start us on our journey together!
